Do I need to register before my first appointment?+
No. Send the request first and bring proof of identity to the visit. Registration takes about five minutes at reception and can be completed while you wait, so it does not shorten your appointment.
What if I need to be seen today?+
Mark your request as urgent and describe the symptoms plainly. Urgent requests are triaged first and usually offered a same-day nurse slot. For chest pain, breathing difficulty, heavy bleeding, stroke symptoms or a serious injury, go straight to emergency services instead of waiting for a reply.
How do repeat prescriptions work?+
Request a repeat two working days before you run out. Most are approved without an appointment. Medicines that need monitoring — blood pressure, thyroid, diabetes or pain medication — are issued alongside a review so the dose stays right.
When will I get test results?+
Routine blood results are back within three working days and swabs within five. We contact you either way, including when results are normal, and every result comes with a plain explanation of what it means for your plan.
Can you see children?+
Yes, from six months in general practice and from six years in the respiratory clinic. Appointments for children are booked at the start of a session to keep waiting short, and a parent or guardian needs to stay in the room.
What happens if I need to cancel or I arrive late?+
Cancel through your confirmation reply whenever you can, so the slot goes to someone else. If you arrive more than ten minutes late we will try to fit you in later the same session, but the appointment may need to move to the next available slot.
Do you offer phone or video appointments?+
Phone appointments suit results discussions, medication changes and follow-ups, and are offered in the same sessions as in-person visits. Anything that needs an examination, a test or a dressing is booked in the clinic.
